USA guy here in Tokyo to teach English conversational language. I currently teach at a language school for 6year olds to adults here in Tokyo but now looking to fill my schedule. Expectations & Goals Most important thing: identifying the needs of the student(s). Making an effort to understand what the student wants communicates that you are serious about helping him or her. I ask questions such as Q: “What are your language goals? Q: What do you want to focus on in class? Q: How do you use or want to use English in your life? Q: What do you think your strengths and weaknesses are?“. Q: I may ask if the student has taken or plans to take any language tests. Q: Also, I often ask the student to tell me about their previous English teacher and what they liked/disliked about him/her. This helps me learn how I can satisfy the student or there parents.
お仕事で心がけていること
I enjoy teaching kids thru adults how to learn or improve English conversation. Weather the student wants to improve skills such as Grammar, pronunciation and or conversation I think it is important to ask the student questions based on there wants and then create a plan to focus and teach them based on those things to have them become successful in speaking, reading and writing English. So when I'm successful doing that I feel I did my job so that's a good feeling of achievement.
